BLACKSMITHING -  Saturdays January through April

Join us each Saturday in the smithy as Joe & Alex turn their metalworker's studio into more than just a place to work; there is a method to their madness! If you're in the neighborhood and want to watch iron turned into beautiful creations, feel welcome to join us each Saturday. Beware, Joe is not past putting a hammer in your hand or urging you to examine beautiful old tools and hand-forged pieces of steel to figure out the processes that were used to turn them into one-of-a-kind treasures. Contact Joe (706) 957-6256 for more information or to schedule a visit.

Home Remedies & Herbal Preparations – On request.  Cost $65.

When I was first called an herbalist, I was delighted to be included in the company of those who share their love for plants and knowledge. Opening my eyes to worlds that were not made by us, but which are our basis for existing brought new ways of doing things here around Two Creeks Farm.   In school I had heard a lot of great things about some of the more well renown herbalists, and thought, will I ever get there? My only regret is that I didn’t begin my herb journey sooner.

Now I am pleased  to be able to share with you simple home remedies in a workshop intended to delight & teach you basic herbal preparations that you can use for a variety of minor health related concerns & first aid. The day is filled with a wonderful weed walk and presentation, an herbal preparation that you can take home with you, and handouts filled with valuable information.  Lunch provided. Contact Judy (706) 957-6256 to schedule your class.

“If delight may provoke men’s labour, what greater delight is there than to behold the earth apparelled with plants… The principle delight is in the minde, singularly enriched with the knowledge of these visible things, setting forth to us the invisible wisdome and admirable workmanship of almighty God."   -  John Gerard, 1633, The Herbal
