Only a few miles north of the Fall Line, in the gently rolling hills of the southern Piedmont, you will find Shiloh, Georgia and Two Creeks Farm, where medicinal plant production, broom craft, and blacksmithing take on many shapes and sizes.  Our intentions are to share our experiences with you as you wander through goldenseal gardens, or participate in the autumn activities of cultivating and harvesting medicinal plants, broom making, and blacksmithing. Preserve, protect and manage is our approach, and once discovered, this serene area is difficult to abandon.   Two Creeks is an alternative to the restive lifestyle we have been compelled to engage in; an alternative which we value and take pleasure in.

Two Creeks is a member of United Plant Savers Botanical Sanctuary Network. Creating a plant & wildlife sanctuary on our land that encourages others through education is a pleasure. Our vision is to focus on working with our developing community in creating greater awareness of conscious stewardship, and setting an example in fostering conservation and restoration of the native landscape and all it offers.

We are looking forward to sharing our project goals, and helping others get started cultivating their own herb gardens as sanctuaries; refuges for people and plants.  As stewards of healing herbs we find planting gardens and developing medicinal plant sanctuaries fit nicely with our background in social justice and care of creation.  Here at Two Creeks’ sanctuary, we feel like we are part of creation, not an afterthought.

“If delight may provoke men’s labour, what greater delight is there than to behold the earth apparelled with plants… The principle delight is in the minde, singularly enriched with the knowledge of these visible things, setting forth to us the invisible wisdome and admirable workmanship of almighty God."   -  John Gerard, 1633, The Herbal
